Some meals sit heavier than others, and some weeks seem to be full of them.
Digestive Ease is made for those weeks, and for the quieter ones in between. It brings together three of the plants Ayurveda has long turned to for comfortable, unhurried digestion.
Triphala is the heart of it. The name means three fruits, amla, bibhitaki and haritaki, traditionally taken for regular, comfortable digestion and gentle enough to be part of an everyday routine. Fennel is the after-meal seed, passed round at the end of a meal in India and traditionally used to ease bloating and wind. Ginger is traditionally used to warm digestion and settle the stomach.
How the blend works
Triphala is naturally astringent and drying, so fennel comes in to soften it. Ginger then warms things back up. Two cooling herbs and one warming, sitting close to the middle, which is what makes this an everyday blend. In Ayurvedic terms, ginger kindles agni, the digestive fire, keeping the blend from running too cool. It is taken with the main meal, when Ayurveda holds agni to be strongest.
The formula
Triphala (leads): three fruits, traditionally for regular, comfortable digestion
Fennel (softens): the after-meal seed, traditionally used to ease bloating and wind
Ginger (warms): traditionally used to warm digestion and settle the stomach
Zinc (completes): contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism
What you might notice:
In the first week, a gentle start, with meals sitting a little lighter
By two to four weeks, more comfortable, regular digestion as it becomes part of the day
These are traditional uses, built on centuries of practice.
Zinc contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism, to normal carbohydrate metabolism, to normal fatty acid metabolism and to normal acid-base metabolism.

FAQs

Digestive Ease is an organic Ayurvedic blend built around Triphala, with fennel, ginger and zinc from organic guava leaf. It comes as 60 vegan capsules, a one-month supply at two capsules a day, and is certified organic by the Soil Association.
-
One of the oldest formulas in Ayurveda. The name means three fruits, amla, bibhitaki and haritaki, combined in equal parts. It has been taken daily across India for centuries and is close to neutral in Ayurvedic terms, which is why it suits everyday use.
-
800mg of organic Triphala per two-capsule serving, alongside 300mg of organic fennel and 100mg of organic ginger, plus zinc from organic guava leaf.
-
No, it's a gentle everyday blend. Triphala can loosen things a little in the first week or so. This settles as the body gets used to it, and it's fine to carry on.
-
Take two capsules with your main meal, the same meal each day. Some people take a week or two off every three months. Warm drinks with food rather than iced ones, and the main meal earlier in the day where possible, fit well alongside it.
-
Digestive Ease already contains Triphala, softened by fennel and warmed by ginger, so it's best not to double up. Choose one or the other.
-
Triphala and fennel are both cooling in Ayurvedic terms, and ginger is warming. The ginger balances them, so the blend sits close to neutral rather than leaning cool.
-
If you take blood thinners, or thyroid, diabetes or heart medication, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting. The same applies if you have an active digestive condition, have had recent abdominal surgery, or are due for surgery within two weeks.
-
With supplements, what goes into the soil goes into the herb. Organic certification means our herbs are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, independently verified by the Soil Association. For something taken every day, we think that distinction matters.
-
Yes. It is Certified Vegan by The Vegan Society, in a plant cellulose capsule, and the zinc comes from organic guava leaf.
