Some days ask a lot of you.
One thing straight into the next, thinking about four things at once, and still wanting to feel like yourself all the way through it. Daily Calm is made for that kind of day.
Tulsi, ashwagandha and brahmi have been part of daily life in India for centuries, each traditionally taken for calm and steadiness. Tulsi, or holy basil, is Ayurveda's best-known adaptogen, light, warming and clarifying. It lifts rather than settles you, which is why it leads a morning blend. Ashwagandha is the grounding root, traditionally used for calm, steady energy. Brahmi, also known as bacopa, is cool and quiet, traditionally used to keep a busy mind calm and settled. Ayurveda calls it medhya, a herb for the mind.
How the blend works
Each herb is here because of what it does to the other two. Ashwagandha on its own is heavy, and tulsi keeps it light. Tulsi on its own is warming, and brahmi keeps it cool. Brahmi on its own is very cooling, and ashwagandha brings the warmth back. Together they settle Vata, the restless energy behind a scattered day, without adding heaviness.
The formula
Tulsi (leads): Ayurveda's best-known adaptogen, traditionally taken for everyday stress
Ashwagandha (grounds): grounding root, traditionally used for calm, steady energy
Brahmi (cools): traditionally used to keep a busy mind calm and settled
Vitamin B12 (completes): contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
What you might notice:
In the first one to two weeks, calmer and steadier days as the routine settles in
By six to eight weeks, the fuller benefit: a calmer mind and steady energy, day after day
Whole herbs work gently and build with steady daily use. These are traditional uses, built on centuries of practice.
Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal psychological function and to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

FAQs

Daily Calm is an organic Ayurvedic blend of three herbs, tulsi, ashwagandha and brahmi, with vitamin B12 from organic shiitake mushrooms. It comes as 60 vegan capsules, a one-month supply at two capsules a day, and is certified organic by the Soil Association.
-
Tulsi, otherwise known as holy basil, is Ayurveda's best-known adaptogen. It has been traditionally taken every day in India to help meet life's everyday stresses, which is why it leads Daily Calm.
-
Take two capsules in the morning with food, with breakfast or lunch, at the same time each day. Tulsi is a lifting rather than a settling herb, which is why it suits the start of the day.
-
Both contain ashwagandha and brahmi, but the lead herb and proportions differ. Daily Calm is led by tulsi, the lighter, lifting herb, for the day. Night Calm is led by ashwagandha, with nutmeg, for the evening. The two are made to work together, and many people take both.
-
In Ayurveda, every herb in a blend is chosen for what it does to the others. One herb leads, another grounds it, a third cools it. A blend suits someone who wants a balanced, all-in-one routine with the herbs already matched in one bottle. If you already take one of these herbs on its own, avoid doubling up.
-
Weeks rather than days, which is normal in Ayurveda. Whole herbs work gently and build with steady daily use. Many notice calmer, steadier days in the first one to two weeks, with the fuller benefit by six to eight weeks.
-
These herbs have a long history of traditional use and are generally well tolerated. A small number of people may notice mild digestive discomfort when first starting, which usually settles. Daily Calm is not suitable for children. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, speak to your GP before use.
-
If you take medication, particularly for the thyroid, blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, mood, anxiety or sleep, or take blood thinners or immunosuppressants, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting. The same applies if you have a thyroid, liver or autoimmune condition, or are due for surgery within two weeks.

With supplements, what goes into the soil goes into the herb. Organic certification means our herbs are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, independently verified by the Soil Association. For something taken every day, we think that distinction matters.
-
Yes. It is Certified Vegan by The Vegan Society, in a plant cellulose capsule, and the vitamin B12 comes from organic shiitake mushrooms rather than an animal source.
